Tips you must know before you register a domain name.
Choosing your domain name is one of the first things you need to do before setting up a website and a task on which you should pay special attention.
While coming up with a domain name you have to:
1) Choose an easy to remember domain name.
2) Choose an easy to type domain name that doesn't have many spellings when people hear it. You will end up with loads of problems if each time you say your domain name people ask you to spell it.
3) Find the main keyword by which you want people to find you in search engines and try to include it in your domain.
4) Choose a domain name that will best describe the content of your website.
Domain name regulations
1. Domain naming should be compliant with certain regulations prescribed by the Hellenic Telecommunications & Post Commission (ΕΕΤΤ).Although you are generally allowed to register any free domain depending on the priority of your application, there are a few exceptions:
• In the case that your submit a false application or one with error or missing fields.
• In the case that two applications are submitted nearly at the same time regarding a common domain name. In that case, only the first application (with 1-second precision) will be forwarded.
• In the case that the registrant submits a domain name application to more than one domain name registrars. In that case, all applications are being rejected.
• In the case that you haven't payed the registration fees within two days after submitting your application.
